Some of my very favourite vintage maps that have inspired my work, now available as prints.
 
I really love to share where my inspiration as come from, and I think if you look at my maps, you can see the thread of vintage aesthetic that runs through them. One of the maps that has influenced me the most, is this one, the Carta Marina. I love the detail, the crazy sea creatures, the typography, everything about it. A print of it hangs on my wall, right above where I am typing now.

This old map of Scandinavia can be purchased in three different sizes:

Please note that this is a copy of the original file scanned by the British Museum. I have not made any changes to it at all to preserve the historical accuracy. As such, it will look like a very old map, with darker spots and less sharp writing.
